Khibra Agro Business is a forward-thinking agricultural enterprise based in Somaliland, dedicated to promoting sustainable farming and innovation. Founder and CEO of Khibra agribusiness Khadra M. Farah she is a pioneering agribusiness leader and one of the first women commercial farmers in Somaliland, advancing food security, women’s economic empowerment, and youth employment through practical, scalable agriculture. After more than 35 years of education and professional experience in Canada, she returned eight years ago to invest her skills and resources in building locally driven farming systems that reduce food imports and strengthen rural livelihoods. She owns and manages three farms totaling 15 hectares, with two fully operational, producing nutritious food and income-generating crops including papaya, lemon, and grapefruit. Through Khibra Agro Business Consultant, Khadra’s farms have created direct and seasonal jobs, supported women and youth participation in agriculture, and function as hands-on learning sites for agricultural students from Hargeisa University and Golis University. Our mission is to transform agriculture through smart technologies and practical solutions that strengthen food security, boost rural incomes, and empower communities.

Khadra M. Farah is the Founder and CEO of Khibra Agro Business with over 10 years of experience in agriculture, beekeeping, and livestock systems. She specializes in precision agriculture technologies, smart irrigation systems, soil management, crop production, and integrated livestock operations. She provides strategic leadership, technical oversight, agricultural training, and farm systems development across Somaliland.
Mona Guiled serves as the Business Development & Partnership Advisor & Consultant at Khibra Agro Business Consultant, where she advises on business structure and growth strategy, assists with donor identification and engagement as well as proposal development strategies, supports branding and marketing positioning, and provides strategic input to strengthen partnerships and expand funding opportunities.
